Against the Current: The Remarkable Life of Agnes Deans Cameron

Cathy Converse presents “Against the Current: The Remarkable Life of Agnes Deans Cameron,” an illustrated lecture based on her recent book at 7 pm on Thursday, June 14th in the Courtenay and District Museum.

“Against the Current: The Remarkable Life of Agnes Deans Cameron” is the first book commemorating the life of British Columbia’s first female principal, itinerant traveller, respected journalist, and one of the top 150 most significant individuals in the history of the province of BC.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase ($30, TouchWood Editions) and signing after the lecture.

Admission to the evening is $5 per Historical Society member; $6 non-members (plus GST). Advance tickets are strongly recommended as the museum lecture series frequently sells out.
