DCBIA Bylaw Renewal

January 31 2023

The Downtown Courtenay Business Improvement Area (DCBIA) is currently undergoing a bylaw review and update. This process includes a review of our service levels, tax rates and fees, and current boundaries. Ultimately, we hope that the new bylaw will help better serve the community and continue to revitalize and improve Downtown Courtenay. We plan to engage current and prospective DCBIA members to understand what is going well, and what could be improved into the future.

The bylaw renewal project will encompass three phases of work:

Phase 1 – Review of Current Operations and Best Practices Research

Bylaw Renewal Info Sheet (1)

Phase 2 – Community Outreach and Engagement (we are here)

SEEKING FEEDBACK: Downtown Business and Property Owners please fill out this survey. The results will help us update the new bylaw. The Survey will remain open until the end of December.
