There are so many ways to get outside and enjoy the Comox Valley before visiting our Downtown.

Walk the Courtenay Riverway from your hotel before arriving in Downtown and browsing our shops or visiting one of the many cafes.

Visit Mount Washington, in the winter months where you can snowshoe, ski and board before heading down the hill for live music and cocktails. In the summer try out the Hawk Excursion ZipTour, part of the Eagle’s Flight Zip Line and reach speeds of up to 100kph as you fly over treetops down the face of the mountain. Stroll along winding paths through second-growth forests that feature rare plant communities such as Hardhack (spirea), wetlands, trembling Aspen, Pacific crab apple and slough sedge. Walk along rivers with meandering waterfalls, stroll the alpine and enjoy views out over the Salish Sea.

Walk our stunning shoreline where you might catch a glimpse of seals or even an orca or check out some of the incredible mountain biking trails that the Comox Valley has to offer.

In the summertime get some friends together and go tubing on the Puntledge River, a local favourite, end your journey at Lewis Park and cross the 5th Street bridge in downtown to enjoy buskers, burgers and beers. The Comox Valley is a fantastic place to enjoy the water, you can kayak, standup paddle board or canoe past shipwrecks, taking in the sea life or paddling the pristine waters of Comox Lake.

From a day on the mountains to paddling along the coast, hiking or cycling, there are lots of ways to see this amazing corner of the Earth.
