Calling all photographers!

From June 1st to July 31st, Downtown Courtenay’s Business Improvement Association (DCBIA) is holding a photo contest, and we want YOU to send us your best. Our media library is lacking beautiful images from our downtown core and we hope that you can let us see downtown through your lens.

For your efforts, the board of the has gathered a mountain of gift cards from the businesses in our area and we have three baskets to give away. $750 for 1st, $500 for 2nd, and $250 for 3rd!

Rules:

1. Photos must feature areas within the boundaries of the DCBIA
   • Cliffe Avenue to Fitzgerald Avenue
   • 4th Street to 6th Street (with some of 8th included per the image below)
2. All photos submitted will become property of the DCBIA and the organization can use them forever onward in marketing materials and and other format required.
3. All photos used by the DCBIA will have photographer credit when used
4. Decision of which photo is the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place winner is determined by the board of directors through a majority vote and announcement will come by August 15th, 2025
5. Multiple photos can be submitted by the same photographer
6. Open to all
