The theme this year is “Cozy in Plaid” and the community is invited to dress up in their coziest flannel, plaid or animal onesie  for the official tree lighting at 5:30 at 5th and England, music, food trucks, roving performers, festive shopping, pop up markets, Mount Washington Alpine Resort prize draws, singalongs and a BIG COMMUNITY SING pop up choir under the full moon at 8 pm at the intersection of 5th and Duncan.

Think plaid coats, tartans, wool, lumberjacks, boots, beards, woodland creatures, snowy forests, cozy animal onesies  

Moonlight and Magic kicks off 4 Merry Weekends (daytime business hours) Nov 26/27, Dec 3/4, Dec 10/11, Dec 17/18) each with their own unique seasonal theme.

November 26/27th – “Love Local!” Support locally owned and operated businesses, local shopping and locally produced goods!  

December 3rd and 4th – “Old Fashioned Christmas” – Silver bells, vintage tree decorations, museum visits, cards and classic gifts. (Parade weekend!)

December 10th and 11th – “Delicious Downtown” – Explore the awesome variety of delicious and decadent eats and treats available Downtown!

December 17th and 18th – “Comfort and Joy” – Warm, comfy, caring, and charity connections. The spirit of the season is alive and well in Downtown Courtenay.
