Moonlight & Magic – Electric Creatures Edition is here!
Moonlight & Magic welcomes the whole Valley to visit Downtown Courtenay for an evening of music, merriment and merchant specials on Friday November 17th. Discover the incredible shops, eateries and cultural destinations that call Downtown Courtenay home. Bring out the LED and help light up the streets of Downtown Courtenay with electric creatures big and small. Throw on your fuzzy sweater, grandma’s furs, or animal onesie and wrap yourself up in light!

Fun for the whole family!
Drop in and create some cool festive crafts with the kids. Visit local community organizations who raise funds for projects and programs that support our neighbours, and explore the fascinating Courtenay Museum “after hours”! Get some cool face art for the kids, make a wish at the “Wishing Tree” and be sure to catch the official community Tree Lighting and sing along at 5:30 pm at the corner of 5th and England. Then head out for fun at the 5th street dance parties!“Humanity Required – Art Experiments with Light”
Don’t miss the interactive art installation on Duncan Ave where participants use light, audio and movement to create art! Join Comox Valley Arts for the experience outdoor art installations Presence and, I Poked a Hole in the Sky and the unveiling of their new Art Wagon where you can go inside and Paint with Light! Learn how to capture ephemeral drawings with light, experiment with different sources of light, colors and line qualities as your painting palette and see what they look like captured digitally. Take home a free printed copy of your experiment!Delicious Dining Throughout Downtown
Enjoy some delicious eats from local cafes, restaurants and visiting food trucks. From global cuisine, divine chocolates and baking and Mexican to pizza, pub fare and locally brewed craft beer, Downtown Courtenay offers something for every taste!

Downtown Street Parties!
The Upper 5th Street Party is sponsored by Pizzeria Guerrilla and Taco Bandito features hometown West Coast hip-hop soul artist Oktiv6 and DJ Miss Mar starting at 6 pm! At the Comox Valley Art Gallery Party you can cozy up by a fire, get a tarot reading from artist Lindsay Celeste as part of her exhibition “Magic for Realists” and take in the intergalactic sounds of Fanfare from 6:30-7:30. The Duncan and 5th Street Party kicks off at 5 pm and culminates in a community dance-off and costume contest at 7:30 pm the amazing LadyK!

Fiery Finale with Ignasia Circus!
At 8 pm you can head up to Duncan Avenue for the much anticipated Fiery Finale with Ignisia Circus in front of the Comox Valley Art Gallery. Ignisia Circus is a fire, flow & dance performance troupe who offer an incredible convergence of skilled technique, graceful dance, and magnetic stage presence to create an unforgettable act.

A Night not to be Missed!
