is truly no better place to get into the spirit of the season than in Downtown Courtenay on Friday November 17th!
Celebrated for generations, Moonlight and Magic invites the whole Comox Valley to the heart of the Valley for a fun filled magical evening!
Merchant Special All Day Long!
The merchants, cafes, restaurants and pubs of Downtown Courtenay will have special features all day long!

Evening Magic kicks off at 5
At 5 pm the special Moonlight and Magic activities begin! Pop up parties, campfires in the street, face painting and crafts, roving performers, live music events and more await visitors of all ages! The magic begins shortly after 5 pm when the community gathers to light up the Downtown Christmas Tree at the corner of 5th and England with a very special performance from the Comox Military Wives Choir
and Just in Time Choir.

Don’t miss a cozy family friendly gathering on the Mudsharks Patio from 5-8 pm with The Comox Valley Children’s Choir (5 pm), Henri Faberge (5:30), Captain Thunderpants (6:15),The Cassies (7:15), face-painters, campfire and much much more!
Dance Dance Dance!
For the second year in a row Atlas Cafe is hosting a fun filled Atlas Party Tent at 5th and Duncan from 5-9, and this year its all about the reggae music with DJ rudeboy, good vibes, kids crafts and free face painting! Then down at Cornerstone, Selector Sproutsonic will be spinning 80’s tunes! Up the street Old Growth Productions will host a special Elevate Party Tent at 5th and England and Wachiay Studio will be doing some hands on screen printing of special “Moonlight and Magic’ souvenirs. It’s all ages dancing fun in the streets!
Duncan Ave alive with Music, Special Gallery Event and Fire!
Up at the Comox Valley Art Gallery, art lovers can take in the final night of the stunning public exhibition “Offerings” in the gallery and then gather for music and a campfire on the plaza with
Cam Boyce (5:30), Luke Blu Guthrie (6 pm) and the Latin sounds of Café Olé at 7! Then at 8 pm the Moonlight Pop Up Choir performs on the steps of the gallery before the wildly talented Ingnisia Circustakes to the streets for the annual Moonlight and Magic Fire Show on Duncan Avenue!

There’s even more music to discover! Sweet tunes at the High Tide Public House with the Jilli Martini Band all evening! Music on the patio with Tereza Tomek and Mud + Murdoch at Gladstone Brewery!
After 9 Fanfare takes the stage at Cornerstone with some killer violin loops!nPlus roving musical performers throughout downtown to serenade your celebrations.
